A cloudy Saturday in Idyllwild is a perfect adventure, even when it evolved into a little rain shower. We found our way to Fratello's, following the rhythm of the blues. You see the patio, first, which was packed. We had a little wait, maybe 15 minutes. They have a small interior dining area along with the patio, but we choose the patio to experience the live music. Started with crisp water, plus warm bread and olive tapenade (with several refills). We ordered eggplant parmigiano,, spinach ravioli, meatballs, and a white sangria. What's the standard response? "Our compliments to the chef!" We enjoyed everything, as it was seasoned appropriately, tender-cooked pasta, savory marinara, and the fresh, generous sprinkling of basil and parmesan set it all off. The service was great, also, with attentive staff. Go for the taste of Italy and stay for the music!

We loved the food here! The bolognese from here is one of my favorites from a restaurant! Loved the live music while we ate! They were really busy but the service was still quick! Will definitely be back!

We're glad we got to come here! Indoor and outdoor dining. It was hot today so we opted for inside. Took a little while to be served but it was a busy day today, we're just glad we got a seat quickly. Food was wow!! Pizza was delicious. Calzone was awesome. And my kids loved the spaghetti and meatballs!

My daughter and I came here tonight for the first time and loved everything about it. Our waiter (didn't get his name, but he had dark curly hair) was great. He recommended the pizza and it did not disappoint - best pizza I've had in a long time. The restaurant was super clean, there was live music outside (but inside seating was nice and quiet if you weren't up for the music). This would be my first stop next time we're in town.
